Meet Taylor
I’ve been laying driveways for 10 years. Driveways Direct is what happened when I stopped working to somebody else’s programme and started doing the job the way I’d always thought it should be done.
10 years is long enough to have seen most of the ways a driveway goes wrong, and nearly all of them happen in the first 2 days. The dig that was a bit shallow because the ground was hard. The sub-base tipped in and whacked in one go because the next wagon was waiting. An edging bedded in sand because the concrete hadn’t turned up. None of it shows on the day the customer pays. It shows in year 3.
So the way this works is deliberately transparent. You get an itemised written price with the excavation and the sub-base on it as their own lines. The number doesn’t move unless you ask for something different. And if I look at your drive and think you don’t need a new one, I’ll tell you that and quote you for the repair instead. I’d rather be the person you ring in 5 years.
