Terms & conditions
The terms that apply to this website and our work.
10 years on the tools · fixed written price · free site visit

Who these terms are with
This website is operated by Driveways Direct. Using this site means you accept these terms. They sit alongside the written quote we give you, which is the document that governs the work itself.
Quotes and pricing
Quotes are given in writing after a site visit and are itemised. Unless the quote says otherwise, it stands for 30 days from the date it is issued. The price is fixed for the work described on it, and will only change if you ask us to change the scope, or if we uncover something genuinely not visible at the time of the visit — the most common being services, drains or an old concrete raft found during excavation. If that happens we stop, tell you what it is and what it costs, and get your agreement in writing before continuing. We do not carry out extra chargeable work without asking first.
Deposits and payment
Any deposit, stage payments and the point at which the balance falls due are set out on your written quote before you agree to anything. Accepted payment methods are listed on the quote and the invoice.
Cancellation
Where you agree to work with us away from our business premises — which, for a driveway, is nearly always — you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of entering the contract, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work inside that 14-day period and then cancel, we may charge for the work already carried out and materials already ordered. After the 14 days, cancellation terms are as set out on your quote.
Guarantee
5-year workmanship guarantee. Every driveway and patio we lay is guaranteed for 5 years against failure caused by our workmanship.
The guarantee covers our workmanship. It does not cover fair wear and tear, damage caused by third parties — including anyone excavating the surface for utilities or services — damage from vehicles heavier than the driveway was specified for, ground movement caused by trees or subsidence outside our control, work altered or repaired by others, or failure to carry out reasonable maintenance such as keeping jointing sand topped up. Natural stone and aggregate will weather and tone with age; that is the material behaving normally and is not a defect.
Communications
By submitting an enquiry and giving us your phone number, you agree we may contact you about that enquiry by phone, text or email. You can opt out at any time by telling us, by replying, or by emailing taylor@driveways-direct.com.
This website
We try to keep the information here accurate, but prices, timescales and availability change. Any price range given on this site is a guide to help you budget and is not a quotation. Photographs show work we have carried out unless labelled otherwise.
Liability
Our liability for any claim connected with the work is limited to the value of the contract, except where the law does not allow that limit. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under English law. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
